Last year we brought you news that SVSR had been accepted into the ANSTO deep technology hub at Lucas Heights in Sydney. As part of this exciting collaboration, we’re now looking to expand our expert team with the help of the ANSTO Graduate Institute. This will help us move forward with our key research focus: sustainable odour control.

SVSR knows sewer vents. We design, fabricate and install vent shafts and vent cowls. We’ve worked with Sydney water and regional councils for years, to check and maintain sewer vent condition. As part of our work we commonly encounter sewer vents in a critical state – and this was the case recently in Lithgow. Here’s what we discovered, how we helped – and why now is the perfect time to check your own ageing vent shafts.

Advanced manufacturing is a key focus for SVSR. We’re a strong supporter of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) education – and we value our local community. So, we’re very proud to be officially part of the CSIRO STEM Community Partnerships Program (STEM CPP).

We are committed to embracing innovation for improved efficiency – including ways to enhance company and staff performance. We recently attended the ‘Getting Culture Right: Insights from Real World Experience’ conference… and here’s what we discovered.

For those who missed it, 19 November was World Toilet Day. And despite what people might think, there’s much more to it than meets the eye. World Toilet Day is an unofficial – although UN sanctioned – day of awareness and action around the global sanitation crisis.
