With decades of experience in sewer ventilation, SVSR designs, fabricates and installs high quality sewer vent shaft cowls for diverse projects. Our market leading designs are high quality and fit for purpose. We provide outstanding sewer vent line solutions for Sydney Water, regional councils, engineering projects, pump stations and major commercial clients.
SVSR is the expert in wastewater infrastructure. We manufacture sewer vent cowls to specification, and we develop innovative solutions for challenging projects.
We offer vent cowls in all sizes from DN150 to DN225/DN250 and DN300. Our induct and educt cowls are fitted with stainless steel shafts and sealed stainless steel bearings to minimise damage from highly corrosive sewer gases. The added benefit for you is that this also minimises maintenance costs.
“The quality is good and there were no issues through the project. When we’re looking for induct vent cowls again, we’ll certainly get in touch with Chris. He and his team did a great job.” ~ Peter Bainbrigge, Director, Professional Pump Services & Irrigation (PPS&I)
Educt sewer vent cowls can have custom sleeves fitted, depending on the vent shaft ID requirement.
Wire sewer vent cowls (passive)
In cases where access for ongoing maintenance is limited, for example in a residential backyard, the best option is a wire vent pipe cowl. Also known as a bird cage, this type of sewer vent cowl is passive and non-directional, requiring minimal maintenance.
We manufacture our wire vent shafts cowls to the following specifications:
Rotating educt sewer vent cowls (active)
In order to maximise the extraction of corrosive and odorous gases from sewer lines and maintenance holes, rotating sewer vent cowls create a vacuum through their ‘whirly bird’ design.
These are active cowls designed for areas where septicity and odour issues are common e.g. pump station wet wells and rising main discharge maintenance holes. They feature UV stability to withstand the elements.
SVSR rotating educt vent pipe cowls are manufactured to the following specifications:
Induct sewer vent cowls can accommodate a PVC vent line coupling or a Table D flange, depending on site requirements.
Vent shaft mounted rotating induct cowl (active)
This type of sewer vent cowl is fitted with a wind vane to the rear that ensures the cowl spins to face the direction of the wind, forcing wind into the vent. It works by drawing oxygen into the sewer, increasing air-flow, thereby reducing septicity, corrosion and concrete cancer.
Like an educt cowl, it has UV stability to withstand the elements.
