As a family enterprise spanning two generations, SVSR places immense importance on our team, fostering a familial bond among us. Our dedicated specialists possess extensive expertise in sewer ventilation and water authority standards. Our commitment transcends the ordinary, as we tirelessly strive to provide secure, compliant, and masterful solutions for sewer vent and custom steel fabrication needs.
Kylie Ridding, SVSR’s Director, guides our company’s trajectory and unwavering commitment to pioneering sewer vent solutions. Following in her father’s footsteps, Kylie took over the family business after Len Reynolds, the founder, retired. Her ethos of stewardship propels the company toward new industry heights. Kylie’s emphasis lies with the people at SVSR, valuing their contributions above profits. Under Kylie’s leadership, SVSR is scripting a new chapter, augmenting our solid foundation and repute. Actively fostering adaptability, leading the charge in responding to industry shifts, & preparing our team to thrive in the face of evolving challenges. Her focus on reskilling our team aligns with a future-oriented approach. As customer needs and industry dynamics evolve, Kylie champions expanding our services and products to embrace forthcoming changes.
As SVSR’s CEO, Tony Jankovic orchestrates daily operations, encompassing marketing and project management for sewer vent installations, Sydney Water, and regional projects. Joining SVSR in mid-2021, Tony aimed to enhance our niche sewer vent expertise and steer the company toward exciting new horizons. Despite SVSR’s modest size relative to his previous endeavours, Tony perceives substantial growth potential. His strategic vision involves harnessing our profound sewer vent fabrication and installation proficiency, along with crane hire services, to extend our team’s capabilities and offerings. With over 25 years of experience spanning building, infrastructure, and architectural sectors, Tony emerged as an adept manufacturing professional. He ascended into a leadership role straight out of university, overseeing a manufacturing plant with 180 employees, catalysing his extensive journey in the field. Tony’s repertoire extends to managing national and multinational corporations, covering operations, production, commercial and operational planning, and cultivating relationships. Eager to witness SVSR’s expansion and prosperity, Tony remains committed to charting a clear course for the future. His approach hinges on capitalising on our capabilities, envisioning diverse product offerings for multiple industries.
Duncan Reynolds, a steadfast presence since his father founded the company over 25 years ago, initially began as scaffolder, gradually accumulating expertise in sewer vent, vent cowl, and odour filter design, fabrication, and installation. With comprehensive understanding of Sydney Water and Council wastewater regulations, Duncan now spearheads the R&D facet of our operations. “My role ensures SVSR maintains a prominent stance in our industry, both domestically and globally. While manufacturing and construction continually introduce novel materials and methodologies, these developments may not be apparent from the field. My position was designed to step back, survey academic and international landscapes, and integrate ongoing research into SVSR’s forefront, aligning with our clients’ demands.”
Duncan understands that customer requirements and industry Best Practice are completely different across Australia, and even within each state. “There is no one-size-fits-all. This means we need to understand each site and design, and deliver different solutions for every site.”
His passion extends to bridging engineering, sustainability, and societal welfare. “Ultimately our goal is devising inventive solutions to wastewater challenges. Reduce the costs of managing corrosion and odour, while improving worker safety by diluting odours within confined spaces”.
Since 2017, SVSR has actively participated in various University student competitions. Duncan collaborates with students, working on challenging real-world problems with a multi-disciplinary team. He mentors aspiring talented students, and cultivates university relationships.
Duncan acknowledges the transformative evolution of SVSR and the industry at large, describing the current landscape as “unrecognisable” compared to the family business’s nascent stages.
